About this guide

A few scraps of paper can be the start of an afternoon project. Paper Craft Afternoons is a digital guide for adults who enjoy making small, personal things with colour, texture and simple shapes.

It introduces a compact paper kit and a few ways to plan a palette, then moves into bookmarks, greeting cards, collages and small decorations. It encourages arranging, comparing and adapting a design before committing to the finished piece.

Project notes, palette pages and a scrap-sorting checklist keep the process approachable. The focus is on accessible materials and original combinations rather than specialist machines or elaborate equipment. Whether you want to make something for yourself or a small gift, the guide offers a place to start and room to make it your own.

Make a palette from your scraps

Choose three paper colours and one neutral background. Arrange a few scraps without gluing them down. Try a large shape, a smaller shape and a tiny accent. Move them around until the balance feels right to you. Photograph the arrangement if you want a reference before assembling the finished piece.

Creative exercise Try it: three colours, one background and two different arrangements.
