About this guide
A small box can hold a whole scene. Miniature Worlds is a digital guide for adults interested in creating little rooms and environments from straightforward craft materials.
It starts with choosing one scene and sketching its layout, then explores scale, a simple cardboard room, small furniture and details made from paper or fabric. The aim is to make the parts feel as though they belong together, rather than fill every corner with tiny objects.
A scene planner, scale notes and a materials record support the process, and later chapters cover arranging, photographing and displaying the finished world. The guide focuses on decorative miniature scenes; it is not a manual for electrical installations or functional toys. Begin with a modest idea and let the character of the scene grow through a few considered details.

Choose one object as your guide
Start with one simple object, such as a miniature chair, and use it as a visual reference for the rest of your scene. Sketch the room around it before making more pieces. Check the size of a table, a shelf and a doorway together. Consistency matters more than adding lots of tiny details.
Make a little room for your imagination.
Adult beginners who enjoy small-scale making, decorative dioramas and imaginative tabletop projects.
The scenes here are decorative. The guide does not cover wiring, lighting circuits or structural building, and the finished pieces are display objects rather than toys for small children. Cardboard, fabric, tools and kits are not included.
